Qualifications for Submitting Items:

  1. Eligibility: To be eligible to submit items for inclusion on Turtle Island Marketplace, individuals must be of Aboriginal or so-called Black American heritage.
  2. Types of Items: Turtle Island Marketplace is designed to offer products that allow members to have pride in their Aboriginal, American Indian heritage. As such, our Web Property is intended for the sale of items that are culturally significant to Aboriginal and so-called Black American communities. Examples of eligible items may include handmade crafts, clothing, jewelry, and artwork.
  3. Item Restrictions: While Turtle Island Marketplace encourages the sale of culturally significant items, there may be certain restrictions on the types of items that can be sold in the Marketplace. For example, items that promote hate speech, violence, or discrimination will not be allowed. We do realize that others who are not a part of the Abo Community may see our inclusion as being hateful or discriminatory, The Community Council determines what is considered hate or violent speech and/or discriminating practices.
  4. Item Quality: Marketplace Associates are responsible for ensuring that the items they list on Turtle Island Marketplace are of high quality and accurately represent the cultural heritage they are intended to promote. As a MA, you are encouraged to provide detailed descriptions of your items and high-quality photos that accurately represent the item.
  5. Item Pricing: Members are responsible for setting the price of their items on Turtle Island Marketplace. However, the website administration reserves the right to remove items that are priced unfairly or inappropriately.
